My first thought when taking the white felt objects out of the card board mailer was *Sick* and at that point I did not care if the real use which we all know is something that will give as little resistance as possible but also not brillo pad our vinyl records ... If these things was wacka than a dustbin lid @ that point in time I would have not cared less, the image on the mat was crisp and clean and the really wicked part is the image could not be felt on the fabric in no way shape or form.
Do they work ... ???
I removed my well used and well trusted Technics matts and replaced then with the Slikmats and before putting the vinyl back on the deck I did what so many DJ's will do for sure and that is did the old cut with just the slipmat when the power is not even turned on *Yer I can C you going yeah, I do that shit 2* I have seen so many DJ's do it over the years that I think it must be as much a part of a scratch DJ's trait as is owning a copy of Super Duckx..!!! Anyway back to the Slikmats ...
Well vinyl is on and Fresh is the noise and the mats are working just the same as my Technics and I could not tell the difference but I was still thinking the image on them was so sick that I needed a 2nd opinion of them and who better than Mr Vestax World Champ & ITF World Champ **DJ WOODY**
When I showed him them he was like "Wicked" I was like, 'Go on then, have a cut with them ...' He gave them a few mins test run and was like "Yeah, nowt wrong with them" (in his Burnley-style, Lancashire accent) But not to leave it @ that I knew they needed the ultimate test so I let Padsta loose on them .. and anyone who knows tha Padsta will tell you, if there is a fault to be found he is the man to find it! And the news is ***They 100% passed tha Padsta Test*** So there you go it was not just my prejudice due to them having my name on them that made me think *Sick* If a 2 times world champ & Tha Padsta test did not find fault then what are you waiting for ... ???
The nice part about these mats is you can have a custom unique pair made with your own logo or image on them for the same price it would cost you to buy a pair of off the shelf slip mats...
You need a pair of these mats .. Why.? I do not need to explain that due to you knowing yourself that you need a pair already, right !!!

Alright mate...I wont have to lie...they are fucking fantastic!
First off the artwork is second to none...wicked print detail and the texture of the print is invisible as it has no effect to the vinyl whatsoever. I have heared that some custom mats print is very harsh and can scratch the underside of the vinyl...but none of that with Slikmats. I was that confident with the Slikmats that I actually used them over my "lucky" slipmats at DMC this year and what happened...I made the finals with them (nothing to do with the ultra skillz I possess at the minute hahaha).
And there is no loss in the slip department either....totally fucking wicked....and they look well nice too.
